There a number of ways to gain a Bricklaying apprenticeship:
1. Contact the Brick and Block Laying Training Association ( click on Training and apprenticeships).
2. Enrol in a pre employment Brick laying course at TAFE (see Transition Adviser or Careers Adviser for current information on TAFE courses ).
3. If you have family members or friends in the Construction industry ask them if they know anyone who is looking for a Bricklaying Apprentice, make contact with the person, give them your resume and show them that you are interested in an apprenticeship.
4. Ring Bricklaying companies in the local areas and ask if they are looking for apprentices.
5. Get your P plates as soon as you can.
